
Professional Profile
Stev Andis holds a Master in Environmental Studies (Community Planning) from York University in Toronto and a Bachelor of Applied Arts from Ryerson University in Toronto.
During her Master’s studies at York University, Stev focused on three
elements within the field of Community Planning. These three elements are neighbourhood
revitalization, community participatory techniques, and urban form and design.
Stev has studied and written about urban revitalization projects in Toronto
and Philadelphia. During her studies, Stev spent time living, working, and conducting
research in Philadelphia, where her research centered on how urban renewal efforts
and land use policies affected redevelopment in low-income neighbourhoods. Focus
was given to how municipal government structure, property taxation, and vacant
land policies affected residential redevelopment.
Stev also has many years of professional project-based experience across several
industries. She has proven ability to successfully deliver projects of varying
types and of varying demands, with the highest level of professionalism and
dedication. She currently works as a policy planner for a suburb of Toronto.
